About Vijay Ujjain
Vijay Ujjain is a technology leader with AWS Professional Services, where he helps manufacturing and supply chain organizations turn applied artificial intelligence into measurable operational gains. His career spans roughly two decades across the Internet of Things, wireless systems, and supply chain.
His current focus is agentic artificial intelligence for the supply chain: AI agents that sense, decide, and act rather than sitting to one side as an experiment. His work spans warehouse optimization, using computer vision and simulation to redesign how goods move and are stored; network planning, modeling where to place inventory and capacity across a network; and network intelligence, giving operators end-to-end visibility and early warning across their supply chain. He designs these agents to automate real decisions, from procure-to-pay to inventory positioning, so the technology drives outcomes rather than dashboards.
Most recently, he led the effort that closed and launched a multi-million-dollar engagement with a leading semiconductor manufacturer to build their Edge artificial intelligence platform, bringing intelligence directly to the factory floor. His approach throughout is deliberately pragmatic: start with a narrow, high-value use case, build the specific data foundations it needs, and use that early win to justify broader investment.
