About Professor Derrick Holliday

Professor Derrick Holliday has 30 years of experience in the fields of power electronics, electrical machines and drives (PEMD). He has held academic posts at the Universities of Bristol, Newcastle and Strathclyde, and has published over 150 industry-relevant papers on topics relating to power electronics and their application. He was key to establishing the UKRI Driving the Electric Revolution Industrialisation Centre (DER-IC) Scotland, and was Centre Lead and Technical Director of DER-IC North East. He is Director of the National Advanced Semiconductor Packaging and Integration Centre (NASPIC), focusing on power electronic, photonic and advanced-CMOS manufacturing process scale-up to support UK semiconductor supply chains.
