About Jane Beasley
Jane is a professionally qualified resource manager with a career dedicated to optimising the value of resources whilst ensuring environmental protection. Jane holds a PhD with a specialisation in waste management and is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management and the Royal Society of Arts. As Director of Circular Economy Delivery, Jane leads a diverse team of technical specialists, working across sectors, materials and infrastructure, business, place, and policy. Prior to joining Zero Waste Scotland, Jane gained extensive experience collaborating with public and private sector organisations, addressing a wide range of priority issues such as strategy development and implementation, influencing consumption behaviours, fostering partnerships, engaging with multiple sectors, and delivering services for reuse and recycling. Jane is also committed to driving innovation within her industry, regularly serving as a judge for national awards that recognise innovative practices. Moreover, she is an experienced Chair and Facilitator, frequently leading discussions and events within her professional community.
