About Geraldine Higgins
Geraldine began her career as a Marketer, working with businesses in the manufacturing and healthcare sectors, before broadening her experience through Communications roles within the Third Sector and Public Sector .
With a strong focus on Communications, Geraldine returned to manufacturing as Global Internal Communications Lead with Howden, where she led initiatives supporting employee wellbeing and the development of early career talent across the global engineering firm. She has since progressed to her current role as Strategic Project Liaison Lead with Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, overseeing stakeholder engagement for large capital projects across Scotland. Alongside this, Geraldine is passionate about creating opportunities for young people and supporting the next generation of talent.
Working in partnership with SmartSTEMs and championing early careers development, Geraldine is committed to connecting young people with the diverse and rewarding opportunities available within the energy sector, helping to build the skills, confidence and talent needed to support Scotland’s transition to a carbon neutral future.
