About Bo Chen
Dr. Bo Chen is a precision manufacturing researcher, specialising in field-assisted sintering (FAST/SPS) for powder consolidation, from metal powders through to thermoelectric and piezoelectric materials for energy conversion. His work also extends the process to recycled metal waste containing high-value alloying elements. One of the key inventors on a UK patent for a new sintering machine developed at Strathclyde, with more than five years' experience contributing to major EU-funded advanced manufacturing research programmes. Manages the University's Nano-Fabrication Laboratory, part of the Centre for Precision Manufacturing.
